I created a second GPO to install ESET on user login. I found the instructions on How to remove VirusScan Enterprise via the command line using msiexec.exe on the Mcafee Knowledgebase here so I created a batch file that ran the command during computer startup. I created a GPO that ran a script during computer startup to remove Mcafee. This is a long post so please forgive me but I figured the information may help someone else. How to uninstall Mcafee anti-virus and install ESET NOD32 using group policy. It also covers a range of topics including group policy, anti-virus, and Spiceworks to name a few. I wasn’t sure where to post this because it’s a bit of a how-to, a log of my mistakes, and questions so I would appreciate any feedback you may have.
